I'm still engaged in Skapande Skola on Fagrabäck school in Växjö. This is my fourth round since fall of 2010 as a mentor and source of inspiration for the school's eighth graders. The teams, with two pupils in each, have together with me selected their best idea for some kind of sitting device suiting a team specific target group and currently work is underway for all teams to produce scale models of their sketches and drawings.
The Swedsih Arts Council's Skapande Skola is designed to strengthen collaboration between schools and professional culture. The goal is that pupils will have access to all expressions of culture and that their opportunities for personal creativity increases.
Andreas Klippinge Design has been awarded 2nd place as one of two finalists in the design competition Kährs Design Studio, with the given task to provide a wood floor for the new modern Swedish homes. The award ceremony was held during the event Möbelriksdagen in Lammhult 4th of January 2012, for more info please read Kährs press release. The work to further develop and adapt the production of the two winning entries will now proceed with the hope that both the contributions will become part of Kährs range in the future.

If you are holding on to what's golden, whether it is of a genuine or a personal value, and want to keep the rest of the world away, Andreas Klippinge Design has made the perfect cabinet for it! Check out my portfolio site and the mystic black gold bar Sort Guld – handcrafted last summer at the well-know school of art and design, Capellagården.
The wood floor competition, Kährs Design Studio, that Andreas Klippinge Design was admitted to earlier this year, is coming closer to reveal the 1st and 2nd place price winners. At the end of November it was announced that the jury – consisting of some well-known names in the Swedish design industry; Lars Bülow, Erika Lagerbielke, Anders Wisth and Stina Andersson – has selected Andreas Klippinge with his contribution Dare to be Square as one of the two finalists! The final is hold at the Möbelriksdagen in Lammhult 4th of January 2012 – be there and be square!
